Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced the launch of the S-CNG variant of the adventurous and dynamic S-Presso, whose bi-fuel flexibility will enable its energetic customers to further their passion for discovering and exploring new experiences. This natural gas-powered vehicle will be available in LXI & VXI variants. Maruti Suzuki currently has 10 models with factory-fitted S-CNG technology on offer.
The new S-Presso S-CNG is powered by a Next Gen K-series 1.0L Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine, offering unmatched fuel-efficiency and refinement. This engine develops a peak power output of 41.7kW (56.69 PS)@5300RPM and max torque of 82.1Nm@3400RPM in CNG mode. Available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, it delivers an excellent fuel-efficiency of 32.73 km/kg.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso S-CNG has been conceptualized, designed and developed at the company’s world-class Research & Development facility. The suspension setup of the vehicle has been calibrated to the updated powertrain for enhancing the ride quality, comfort and safety. Maruti Suzuki’s R&D facility conducts rigorous testing for its factory-fitted S-CNG cars to deliver unmatched safety, performance, durability and fuel efficiency.
The launch of Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG vehicle range is aligned with and complements the Government of India’s vision of reducing oil imports, and enhancing the share of natural gas in the country’s primary energy mix. The Government is also working to rapidly increase the CNG refueling network in the country.
