Efigas and Kenworth joined forces to launch Sitrak tractor-trailers that run on CNG in Pereira, with the aim of demonstrating that clean energy is a great option for the economy and performance of vehicles and of promoting development and sustainability in the Coffee Region.
Through this alliance, Kenworth de La Montaña will distribute dedicated trucks with technology for natural gas and other types of cargo up to 5 tons. For refueling, there is a strong green corridor in the region with almost 40 CNG stations.
Naturgas and Efigas celebrated the agreement with Kenworth, which will have the city of Pereira as its headquarters. Kenworth de La Montaña’s mission is to provide comprehensive solutions that contribute to the strengthening of Colombian carriers and is focused on being a leader in the sector by generating employment and by the corporate social and environmental responsibility of its actions.
The brand is represented by KDLM, which has 12 offices nationwide with a complete portfolio to serve all market niches, trucks and tractors from 10 tons to 52 tons of gross vehicle weight.
Colombia has more than 638,000 vehicles converted to natural gas and more than 4,060 dedicated vehicles that are units designed to work exclusively with natural gas. Of these, 2,900 are for passenger transport and 700 dedicated to heavy cargo.
