With the aim of reducing times and costs for companies, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) reported that the import procedures for cylinders for the storage of CNG were incorporated into the Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCE as its Spanish acronym), a ministry’s foreign trade facilitation tool.
By incorporating this process into the VUCE, it will allow its digitalization and centralization, and can be linked to the foreign trade procedures carried out by the various public sector entities, such as the SUNAT-Customs. It will also facilitate having a database of the cylinders that enter the country, for efficient control and dispatch of this merchandise.
Through Ministerial Resolution No. 301-2023-MINCETUR, the “Proof of compliance with the Technical Regulation on High Pressure Cylinders for Storage of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) used as fuel for Motor Vehicles and Cylinder Holding Devices for CNG”, says the Mincetur measure.
It should be noted that this diligence is managed by more than 300 companies established in the country. The procedure is carried out by the Ministry of Production (Produce) through the Restricted Goods component of the VUCE.
It is also important to specify that the Restricted Goods component of the VUCE adds with this new procedure a total of 322 administrative procedures and services in 16 competent entities for the benefit of the foreign trade community.
