The G410 A6x2 model was the option chosen, and it will be used to carry the fuels from refineries to Shell service stations. For the approval that made it possible to complete this type of operation, an authorization process was developed in conjunction with Raízen, resulting in this Scania truck being the first CNG vehicle authorized to transport Shell fuels.
Marcotran Logistics has added three new IVECO S-Way tractors that run on LNG, which offer up to 800 kilometers of range and numerous advantages in terms of sustainability and efficiency. The trucks will be used locally, including the province of Zaragoza, where they will be in charge of carrying waste containers from the collection points to the recycling plant.
These vehicles, which can accommodate 5 passengers including one in a wheelchair, or 6 passengers without a wheelchair, have been specially adapted from the passenger versions of the Peugeot e-Expert and Citroën ë-Jumpy vehicles, manufactured at Stellantis’ Hordain site, in the Hauts-de-France region of France.
NGVAmerica and the RNG Coalition, with partners California Natural Gas Vehicle Partnership and California Renewable Transportation Alliance, announced that California fleets fueled with biomethane achieved carbon-negativity in their transportation operations last calendar year for the third straight year.
This is a provincial project through which the government subsidizes drivers up to 50% of the value of the brand-new car, with the aim of helping renew the local taxi fleet. The vehicles delivered to the first beneficiaries of the program are Fiat Cronos. The delivery includes the installation of the CNG equipment and the corresponding identifying paint.
Funding comes from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean School Bus Program. The $400 million grant opportunity will fund CNG, LPG, and electric buses that will produce either zero or low tailpipe emissions compared to their older diesel predecessors. These emission reductions will result in cleaner air for students, drivers, and the community.
The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes Víctor -Ito- Bisonó led an act in which the Martí group, which represents the IVECO brand in the Dominican Republic, delivered 13 IVECO X-Way natural gas trucks to TotalEnergies. This fleet is expected to support the multinational’ goal to be the leading player in responsible energy and achieve CO2 neutrality by 2050.
Through an alliance between Coflonorte Libertadores, Flota Sugamuxi, Autoboy, Ruta INnova, Ecopetrol, Vanti, Transportadora de Gas Internacional (TGI), Scania and Naturgás, the first CNG bus for long distance public transportation was launched in the Department of Boyacá. It will cover the route between Boyacá and Bogotá.
The supply of goods needed by the Costa Firenze, such as some types of food, beverages, and technical supplies, will be transported from Costa Cruises’ warehouses in Genoa to Kiel using LC3 Trasporti trucks powered by bio-LNG. The use of this alternative fuel for the road transport of goods will cut CO2 emissions by almost 90%.
Mi Bus announced the start-up of a six-month pilot project to test two CNG buses, which will begin to provide service on May 22. The initiative, which included the development of the natural gas refueling station, is carried out together with Colon LNG Marketing, with the companies AES Panama and TotalEnergies as partners.
