EMAYA has incorporated 12 new vehicles to its cleaning service fleet in Palma de Mallorca, including two CNG sweeper trucks. This acquisition involved an investment of 1,267,340 euros and will make it possible to renew and expand the equipment for cleaning the city.
These are state-of-the-art vehicles that provide better performance, lower fuel consumption, reduced noise and emissions, as well as being more comfortable to drive and carry out cleaning tasks for service operators.
The most notable addition is two new sweeper trucks, large vehicles (6.36 m long, 2.15 wide and 3.26 high) that run on natural gas. Despite their dimensions, they have high mobility and great performance in the task of mechanical sweeping. They are also equipped with a water application system to reduce the dust that is generated and humidify the sweeping brushes.
Due to these characteristics, they will be used especially for cleaning roads, in places where the surface area is large and the task requires high displacements. They will work especially in the Ponent district and in the rural areas of Sant Jordi, Son Ferriol, Aranjassa, and Casa Blanca.
With these new additions, EMAYA now has 226 vehicles for cleaning services.
