Île-de-France Mobilités is gradually rolling out a new bus service in Val Maubuée and Bassin Chellois, in particular to serve a new district in the municipality of Torcy. Concretely, this new offer results in the evolution of the route of line 211 and the creation of line 311, operated by the RATP, from April 3, 2023. Travelers will benefit from a fully equipped fleet of CNG-powered buses.
Carried out and fully financed by IdFM, totalling €1.3 million, the operation involves modifying the route of line 211, which will become circular at the Cantines crossroads to fully serve the ZAC des Coteaux via the Lagny road and the rue de Chèvre.
Made up of 17 stops and 8 km long, line 311 will link Chelles–Terre-Ciel and Noisiel RER with four additional stopping points: Henri Barbusse, Carnot, Groupe Scolaire and Jean Jaurès. Every day of the year, the new line 311 will pass through the towns of Chelles, Brou-sur-Chantereine, Vaires-sur-Marne, Torcy and Noisiel.
Built in consultation with Île-de-France Mobilités, local authorities and the RATP, line 311 will support the urban development of the territory thanks to an additional transport offer adapted to the needs of Ile-de-France residents with to environmentally-friendly vehicles. Thus, it will serve the ZAC des Coteaux in Torcy where major urban development is underway: 600 housing units, a hotel, an intergenerational residence, and a rescue and fire center.
Line 311 will stop at the Vaires-Torcy leisure center (future Olympic site) and will eventually welcome more than 195,000 new passengers per year.
