The Board of County Commissioners of St. Johns County in Florida has selected FCC Environmental Services to oversee Solid Waste Collection Services for the county as of the 1st of August of 2024. The company will serve over 300,000 residents in this county.
The initial contract spans 7 years, with the potential for two (2) 5-year extensions, solidifying a lasting commitment between FCC Environmental Services and St. Johns County. The contract backlog for the initial duration plus extensions is projected to reach USD 575 million.
In alignment with this significant contract, FCC Environmental Services is dedicated to substantial operational investments. A planned investment of more than USD 40 million includes more than 60 state-of-the-art CNG vehicles.
