ColliCare Logistics works with environmental transport in different ways for a more sustainable future. This year, the company will roll out the first electric direct train from the terminal in Cremona in Italy for further transport to the terminal in Skaraborg in Sweden. In addition, to complement the train, they are investing in changing their traditional road transport with biomethane trucks.
According to the company, working together with their customers for sustainable transport to a greener future is essential. They want to offer more environmentally friendly alternatives utilizing not only ships and trains, but also biogas-powered road transport, since it is vital that last mile operations are green too.
ColliCare has already received the first four Scania trucks that run on bio-LNG. The remaining six natural gas vehicles are on the way during Q1 2023.
“Green transformation is important both for our customers and us. We ordered 10 trucks in the first round, and now the demand from customers is high after the first four biogas trucks are ready. So more trucks are needed. It’s great that our customers appreciate our project for a more sustainable future with more environmentally friendly transport options,” said Kenjiro Ly, Product Manager, ColliCare Sweden.
