The LUBRE high-flow service station in Famaillá (Route 38, km 779), province of Tucumán, was the first to launch the YPF Green Corridor, a strategic project that promotes a more sustainable fuel. The initiative will allow heavy CNG vehicles to refuel much more efficiently, favoring development and production in the north of the country.
“CNG is a more environmentally friendly fuel than diesel, and allows significant operating savings. Its use makes fleets more competitive and improves the country’s energy matrix, taking care of the health of people and the planet, as proposed by the national sustainable transport plan,” according to YPF.
The dispenser has the approval of Resolution NAG 420 for the refueling of CNG-powered heavy vehicles.
At the national level, the Green Corridor project includes five routes with large CNG fast fill stations -with a maximum time of 8 minutes- and no more than 300 kilometers between refueling points for transport.
Carlos Barbaglia, managing partner of LUBRE, commented that the new facilities will allow a Scania truck – a company with which YPF works actively to promote this mobility – to travel from Tucumán to Buenos Aires with only two tanks.
