Scania Argentina presented its New Generation of Buses, for urban routes as well as for medium and long distances. This new K-series chassis was developed prioritizing energy efficiency, alternative fuels, and smart and safe transportation, factors that benefit both carriers, passengers, and the environment. This new range offers the possibility of using alternative fuels -such as CNG and biomethane-, which amplifies energy efficiency and profitability.
Available in various configurations, the new vehicles introduce the range of XPI engines in these units, which generate fuel savings of 10%. In addition to reducing the emission of polluting gases, a reduction in operating costs is guaranteed.
With more than 10 years of research and development, this new generation achieves 92% technological innovation of its components, compared to the previous series, so it is a completely renewed line.
Flexible maintenance is also incorporated, which consists of the possibility of preparing maintenance plans tailored to each client’s operation, based on the data provided by the connectivity of the units. This increases the availability of the fleet and reduces unplanned stops.
Among the great innovations, the introduction of ADAS 2.0 active safety systems stands out, which consist of a series of devices capable of detecting collision risks or danger factors both for the bus and for the rest of the users of the road network.
“Scania offers its customers comprehensive solutions for more sustainable transport, and this launch is a new step we are taking for that purpose. We offer integral solutions to our clients, consisting of innovative and efficient products, financial services to guarantee accessibility; high quality repair and maintenance services; training for drivers and carriers, and fleet management systems through connected vehicles,” said Oscar Jaern, CEO of Scania Argentina.
