The deficit in the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (FEPC) has led to the readjustment of the price of a gallon of gasoline in Colombia, remaining on average close to $11,800.
Amid increases in gasoline, natural gas continues to position itself as the cheapest alternative. So far in 2023, the purchase of CNG dedicated vehicles has increased by 12% compared to the same period of the previous year due to the savings represented by its use compared to other fuels.
For their part, the conversion workshops have made technological advances in the installation of equipment and carry out a pre-conversion process to review the mechanical, electrical and electronic components of the vehicle to guarantee quality standards.
Just as Transcaribe buses run on CNG, there are currently several fleets of corporate vehicles that have chosen to operate with this clean fuel, including Aguas de Cartagena, Mercado Libre, Envía, Bavaria, Huevos Kikes, Haceb and Bimbo.
