IVECO was present at Expoagro 2023, which took place earlier this month, presenting itself with the largest stand in the history of the brand. For four days, more than 100,000 visitors toured the expo in San Nicolás de los Arroyos, Province of Buenos Aires, where IVECO presented to the public a whole portfolio of nationally produced vehicles, including the CNG Tector, the sustainable pride of the brand.
“For many years, IVECO has been present at the largest agro-industrial exhibition in Argentina due to the relationship that the brand has with the field through the Tector and the Stralis ranges, traditional products for harvest removal,” said Francisco Spasaro, Commercial Director of IVECO Argentina.
The CNG-powered Tector continues to evolve and the demand grows year after year. “In two and a half years, around 400 units of this product were marketed, with IVECO having 75% of the vehicle fleet running on CNG. We are very satisfied with this evolution,” added Spasaro.
This vehicle has six CNG tanks, each with a capacity of 80 liters, which give it an approximate autonomy between 300 and 400 kilometers depending on the load, the mission and the driving mode. It offers power and a low level of gaseous and sound emissions, in addition to a reduction in operating costs of around 20%. These attributes could be seen at the expo in a specially prepared space.
Diego Giuliano, Minister of Transportation of Argentina, visited the IVECO space where he was received by Santos Doncel Jones, President of Iveco Group Argentina. “IVECO is a company that has produced in Argentina for more than 54 years. Its growth and presence throughout the country is the result of the effort and constant work of each of the people who are part of the automotive industry. We appreciate the visit of the Minister, for us it is important to continue working together for the growth of the sector and the development of new technologies for transport such as CNG and the possibility of incorporating, in the future, Euro VI to all our products,” commented Doncel Jones.
