The transport operator Periféricas Lazcano received a fleet of 33 C12 Foton natural gas buses. The new vehicles will be used to operate the two tenders that Periféricas Lazcano obtained in the Metrorrey Massive Transportation System for the next 10 years on the TransMetro lines.
Each bus has a capacity for 100 passengers, Cummins CNG engine and Allison transmission, low entry, Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The units are connected to the Integral Metropolitan Transit System, Sintram and C5. The new fleet was delivered by Ciro Picardi, General Manager of Foton Monterrey, and received by Félix Lazcano, President of the company’s board.
These 33 buses are added to the 22 privately acquired by the firm Tuesa de Hernán Martínez, which were delivered by Foton more than a month ago to fulfill in due time and form the bidding contract they won in Metrorrey for a decade.
With both deliveries there are 490 buses belonging to the Foton brand that are circulating in Nuevo León, after Grupo Senda acquired 35 units of this same type and model almost three years ago.
This figure is added to the 400 buses that are already in the country and that are in the delivery process in the following days. With these actions, Foton fulfills its commitment to its customers to deliver all the buses purchased to serve the state of Nuevo León.
