The rector of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMex) Carlos Eduardo Barrera Díaz informed the entire student community about the delivery of two new Potrobús vehicles with optimized equipment and CNG technology.
The Potrobús, a shuttle service with almost 20 routes, is essential for the transportation of thousands of students, which is why it is so important that the new buses are environmentally friendly as they run on natural gas, as well as more inclusive.
“We endorse the commitment to achieve a green and inclusive University, we deliver two Potro Verde Bús units that operate with natural gas and have ramps for wheelchairs. In addition, they are equipped with racks to transport bikes,” wrote Barrera Díaz on Facebook, under the hashtag #SomosUniversidadVerde.
The two new CNG buses are DINA Linner G model and will reduce 95% of polluting emissions, 90% of nitrogen oxides and about 20% of greenhouse gases.
