In the last few weeks, deliveries of low- and zero-emission Solaris buses to two Spanish cities were completed. The EMT Burgos has opted for five Urbino CNG buses, while Martorell has chosen two state-of-the-art Urbino 8.9 LE electric.
On September 20, the new Solaris Urbino CNG of the EMT Burgos were officially presented: three of them are 12-meter Urbino 12 CNG, while the remaining two are articulated Urbino 18 CNG. The mayor and councilor for the mobility of the city participated in the event.
The natural gas buses feature a modern driver assistance system Mirror Eye, which provides the driver with a more complete, sharp and detailed view of operating conditions than traditional mirrors.
EMT Burgos once again placed its trust in Solaris, already having a total of 10 units in its fleet. In the first delivery in 2020 the city ordered four Urbino 12 CNG and one Urbino 18 CNG.
Solaris has been present in Spain since 2010. Today, over 500 Solaris buses are being driven through Spanish cities. Notably, three quarters of them feature a zero-emission or low-emission drive.
