A Scania G410 CNG truck was added to the fleet of Transportes Imaz, a Patagonian general cargo company whose fleet is made up solely of vehicles of the Swedish brand. After completing the test period in real operating conditions of the demo unit, the company decided to incorporate a vehicle from the Green Efficiency Line that allows it to contribute to caring for the environment.
Specialized mainly in the transport of general cargo, machines, cars, refrigerated goods and foodstuffs, Transportes Imaz provides its service throughout the country, connecting the main headquarters in Bariloche, to the branches in Buenos Aires, Cipolletti, El Bolsón, San Martín de los Andes and Villa La Angostura.
“Scania has been a key ally in our growth, and we decided to invest in this truck because of its outstanding technology, which is more efficient and prioritizes sustainability. We faced new challenges such as evaluating the performance of CNG and choosing the routes where we can refuel natural gas, and all the results have been positive,” said Natalia Pasqui from Transportes Imaz.
Imaz has the maintenance service of Feadar, Scania official dealer in the area, which ensures that transport is up to date with the status of its 30 trucks. “For customers, the outstanding features of this CNG-powered vehicle, such as comfort, engine soundproofing and operational efficiency, add to the peace of mind provided by the after-sales service,” said Javier Ortiz, Head of Sales of Feadar.
From Transportes Imaz they affirm that they will not only continue betting on Scania’s New Generation trucks, but that CNG is already beginning to be a strategic ally in operations and they will continue to expand the fleet with this more efficient technology.
