The Governor of the Province of Córdoba Juan Schiaretti received the new authorities -for Argentina and Latin America- from IVECO. The business delegation presented the company’s investment plan, product development, nationalization plan and export program with a direct impact on the Córdoba plant, which will include the production of the first CNG bus in Argentina to be carried out in this plant.
“It is an honor for Iveco to be here in Córdoba, meeting with the governor, where we announce the novelties of our products, especially the incorporation of a new CNG bus that will be produced in Córdoba,” said the President of IVECO Argentina, Santos Doncel.
The new authorities of the company reported the products that IVECO is manufacturing and highlighted the importance of the production of the first CNG 170 bus that will be built with Cordoba engineering.
In reference to this product, Doncel clarified that as of September the vehicle will be available to the Province “to begin dynamic testing in the public passenger transport network.” These tests will be carried out in short and medium distance sections.
In addition, the company announced the nationalization of the production of 9- and 11-ton Tector trucks, which were previously manufactured in Brazil. Lastly, the businessmen reported the manufacture of the Stralis truck with pneumatic suspension and EBS/ESC safety systems.
With these actions, among others, IVECO will generate approximately 180 new jobs in 2022.
