U.S. Sens. Mark Warner (D) from Virgina and Richard Burr (R) from North Carolina introduced the Renewable Natural Gas Incentive Act, a bipartisan legislation that provides a $1 per gallon tax credit for renewable natural gas used as a transportation fuel. Previously, renewable natural gas received a lower tax credit than similar transportation fuels, despite its ultra-low emissions.
