China: 100 hydrogen trucks will be used in the construction of a mine in Inner Mongolia

XCMG has delivered a batch of 100 hydrogen-powered trucks to the end client Mengxi Zhenghe Group to aid its construction of a mine near Ordos in China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region. Under a strategic cooperation blueprint with Sino-Synery, XCMG will deliver in excess of 1,000 hydrogen trucks in total to the company by 2025.

The City Council fulfills the promise made by its mayor Jose Luis Martínez-Almeida in 2020 that no municipal bus powered by this fuel would travel the streets of the city after 2023. With this removal, the current 100% clean fleet of the EMT is made up of 1,915 CNG buses and 180 electric buses. This year, the municipal company will also add the first 10 hydrogen buses.
