Wärtsilä will supply its biogas liquefaction technology to Scandinavian Biogas Mönsterås, a joint venture company between Scandinavian Biogas Fuels (SBF) and local farmers supplying manure and agricultural waste to the project. The new plant will produce 30 tons per day of bio-LNG, which will be used as transport fuel for heavy vehicles.

Clean Energy will supply 86 million gallons of renewable natural gas to San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS). By running on biomethane instead of diesel, it is anticipated that the MTS bus fleet will reduce 73,972 metric tons of CO2—the equivalent of planting 1.2 million trees or taking 15,939 gasoline cars off the road.
