Circulating on the main highways of the State of Sao Paulo, such as Bandeirantes, Anhanguera and Dom Gabriel, the vehicles will bear the message of the Positive Impact Day, an initiative that represents Natura’s ambition to be Net Zero by 2030, a purpose in line with Coopercarga’s goals that seek ESG practices in transportation.
The initiative will transform surplus livestock manure and other waste on a large scale into biomethane, organic fertilizers and CO2 neutral of biological origin. It has been designed to optimize slurry management in Galicia, reduce energy dependence on the outside, facilitate compliance with new European standards and help decarbonize mobility.
The Urbino 18 hydrogen bus is now the company’s second hydrogen vehicle in its zero-emission offering. It will perform excellently on longer routes, covering about 350 km on a single refill in various weather conditions, and will be able to carry up to 140 passengers depending on the configuration. First deliveries will start in the second quarter of 2023.
