New Holland Agriculture, a CNH Industrial brand, was present at the 31st Aapresid Congress, the Argentine Association of Direct Seed Producers, which took place at the Rosario Metropolitan Convention Center, Santa Fe, from August 9 to 11.
The motto of the 31st Aapresid Congress was “C, element of life”, in reference to Carbon and the keys to improve soils and fight climate change. For this reason, New Holland saw the great opportunity to present the T6 Methane Power tractor, which “has been generating a furor in the country” for its benefits.
Juliano Perelli, team specialist, spoke at a panel on Bioeconomy together with Mario Aguirre from the Las Chilcas establishment, a client who will soon test the biomethane-powered vehicle.
“It is a pleasure for us to participate in this renowned event that is synonymous with innovation and technology, representative attributes for our brand. The T6 Methane Power tractor has the latest technology and is powered by nature itself. In this way, we include our customers in the challenge of producing more and in an increasingly sustainable way,” said Tomás Liceda, Commercial Director of New Holland Argentina.
The T6 Methane Power tractor exceeds 90% reductions in particulate matter emissions and, in general, achieves a reduction of up to 80% in CO2 compared to a diesel tractor, maintaining the same performance as a similar conventional one. By using biomethane, the carbon footprint of rural property can be brought to zero.
“This product has the capacity to use gas generated from the biodigestion of both organic waste and animal waste. This allows turning an environmental liability into an asset by generating its own fuel and eliminating the need to use diesel, resulting in a significant reduction in operating costs,” added Perelli.
