Blue Grid announced they are developing the first LNG fueling station in Greece, in cooperation with ELINOIL (Elin), one of the largest fuel retailers in Greece. The new facility, to be located in Attica (Thriassio area), is expected to be operational within the first quarter of 2024 and will also offer CNG.
This collaboration combines Blue Grid’s expertise in downstream LNG supply and distribution with the geographical footprint of Elin’s network, and will accelerate the promotion and adoption of alternative fuels in Greece.
“With this opening, LNG as a road transport fuel will be finally available in Greece and we are here to help you switch your fleet to LNG, helping you save money, reduce emissions and improve local air quality,” said Blue Grid in a statement.
Elin’s entry into the LNG-CNG market is part of the implementation of its strategic plan for the transformation of its network into multi-energy stations, while at the same time it is in line with its broader commitment to promote sustainability.
