RedTulum, San Juan’s transportation service, announced the launch of a new vehicle that will contribute to implementing clean energy in mobility: the first natural gas bus in the province. The initiative is part of the Clean Energy Plan of the Government of San Juan.
The presentation of the new Scania CNG bus was attended by the Minister of Government, Alberto Hensel. The unit will be part of the routes of Transportes Albardón and will have a period of evaluation of its benefit for citizens.
The vehicle has a range of approximately 450 kilometers, besides having a low floor, air conditioning and adaptation equipment for people with disabilities. It will be tested for 60 days to evaluate its performance and efficiency, in addition to its operability with refueling points.
In addition to Minister Hensel, the commissioning of this bus was carried out with the presence of the Secretary of Transit and Transportation Jorge Armendáriz, the Director of Transit and Mobility Planning Carlos Romero and the Administrative Manager of Albardón Viviana López Puerta.
