During one of the panels of the 2nd Sustainable Transport Forum organized by Scania Argentina, Marcelo Núñez, Director of Gas at YPF, detailed the gigantic project on which the state-owned company is working, which includes the construction of five trunk corridors to supply CNG fast refueling to heavy vehicles.

The joint ventures with two of the most sustainability-committed global energy companies, TotalEnergies and bp, allows for the necessary capital to partner with dairy owners around the country.
Located at a busy traffic hub at the intersection of Hämeenlinnanväylä (Highway 3), Vantaankoskentie and Tikkurilantie, Gasum’s new filling station offers LNG and CNG for the needs of heavy- and light-duty transport vehicles and passenger cars as well as a unique art experience for NGV drivers.
Shell is supplying 100 tons of bio-LNG made from agricultural waste to Evonik, which is equivalent to the average fuel consumption of three trucks in a year. With this initiative, Evonik is committed to reduce its own emissions by shipping its products environmentally friendly with biomethane-fueled trucks.
Bilfinger is supporting REEFUELERY GmbH with the construction of a bio-LNG plant for the production of the low-emission and climate-friendly REEFUEL. The facility, which will be completed in 2024, will produce LNG from biomethane that will be used as an alternative fuel for freight and heavy-duty transportation to reduce CO2 emissions.
The site is located in Pyeongtaek City, and is the first of its kind in the Korean capital region and the second in the nation after the facility in Changwon City. Gyeonggi Province and Pyeongtaek City also plan to build a hydrogen transportation complex connected to hydrogen stations near Pyeongtaek Port and to create a “hydrogen city”.
The renewable natural gas supply agreements include California Transportation Dynamics in Commerce, National Ready Mixed Concrete in Encino, City of Claremont, NGL Logistics in Gardena, and Gen Logistics, which services the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
The facility, located in northeast England, can refuel 500 heavy goods vehicles per day and, when fully utilized, will cut 67,500 t/yr of GHG emissions, equivalent to the annual emissions of more than 40,000 cars. Aldi, UK’s fifth-largest supermarket, is the latest major brand to adopt bio-CNG trucks and is among many other household brands to use the new station.
The companies plan to leverage their complementary alternative fuel capabilities and pursue business opportunities together which can lower net fuel costs and reduce carbon emissions for their customers. Galileo’s equipment can enable the monetization of natural gas from any source by converting it into low carbon renewable natural gas, CNG or LNG.
