Long-time customer and an early adopter of renewable natural gas, the Big Blue Bus in Santa Monica, CA has signed a maintenance agreement for its fleet of 195 transit buses that fuels with an anticipated 7.5 million gallons of biomethane. In 2015, Big Blue Bus became one of the country’s first municipal transit agencies to convert its entire fleet to this renewable fuel.
The facility, which is co-financed by the European Commission through the CEF Program, involved an investment of 16 million euros and adds to the set of actions carried out or currently underway at the port facility. It has a cryogenic tank with a storage capacity of 1,000 cubic meters and joins the terminal that Repsol has in the port of Bilbao.
From June 7 to 10, the brand is participating in Agroactiva, in the province of Santa Fe, one of the most important rural fairs in the country. It will be part of this expo through the Beta dealer, which will exhibit the wide range of nationally produced vehicles such as the CNG Tector. IVECO also exhibited this truck in a fair in Otamendi, province of Buenos Aires.
