In line with the values of a sustainable sport such as cycling, the IVECO S-Way LNG truck carries out various steps towards decarbonization also during the Giro d’Italia, thanks to a mature and available technology such as biomethane, which allows achieve a reduction of emissions of up to 121%, as demonstrated by the study prepared by the CNR.
The newly launched mobile application allows users of four-wheeler natural gas vehicles to book time slots for refueling at a dedicated CNG dispenser at BEST bus depots. Currently, this service is available at Goregaon – Oshiwara and Ghatkopar bus depots, with plans to have similar facilities in other 13 bus depots across Mumbai that are managed by BEST.
Europe reached a total of 1,322 biomethane-producing facilities by April 2023. These 299 new plants represent nearly 30% more than the ones reported in the previous edition of this map in 2021. Compared to the previous editions of the map, the number of plants in Europe has steeply increased: 483 plants in the 2018 edition, 729 in 2020 and 1,023 in 2021.
