Developed for waste customers that want an alternative-fuel solution or that generate their own fuel (renewable natural gas), the Mack Granite CNG model features a 320-horsepower Cummins L9N engine matched with an Allison 4500 fully automatic 6-speed transmission. It is available as an axle-back model.

The unit furthers the company’s position in the quest for viable alternative fuels. It features an LNG system that provides four times the fuel storage of the T6 model, the world’s first commercialized CNG tractor.
The company launched an initiative that enables operators of diesel-powered Class 7/8 trucks to reduce their carbon footprint by reducing the consumption of diesel fuel — displacing it (up to 60%) with CNG or biomethane. The initiative includes converting existing diesel fleet trucks and installing fueling systems.
