The MTA has received an $8 million award from the NYSERDA, which will help add its first-ever hydrogen fuel cell buses, further advancing its commitment to an all zero-emission fleet by 2040. Two buses will be deployed, and the MTA will install a hydrogen station capable of fueling up to 40 vehicles at the Gun Hill depot in the Bronx.
SEMPRE-BIO will demonstrate new profitable biomethane production ways. It will be tested in three plants throughout Europe, including Baix Llobregat ecofactory, managed by Aigües de Barcelona, where biogas will be converted into CNG through a power-to-gas hydrogen methanation process, for use in Barcelona public transport.
The purchase of Denmark-based Nature Energy will further increase Shell’s ability to work with its established customer base across multiple sectors to accelerate its transition to net-zero emissions. It will also support the company’s ambition to profitably grow its low carbon fuels production and customer offering.
The new brand slogan makes a statement of intent to “Drive the road of change”, partnering with its customers on the path to net zero-carbon mobility. It has adopted a multi-range, multi-energy approach based on biomethane, battery electric and fuel cell technologies to cover the full spectrum of urban and intercity mobility missions.
