Scania Argentina delivered the first CNG truck to Río de las Vueltas, transportation and distribution company, which will use the vehicle to carry out its operations for Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes. It has a range of 500 km and will travel an average of 8,000 km per month between the different Quilmes plants, saving 40% on fuel.
This new facility, located in Tabolango, Valparaíso Region, will initially supply LNG to 17 vehicles from Transviña and will also be available for trucks from other companies. It will promote the creation of the first clean energy corridor in Chile. The plan is to install stations at strategic points to supply trucks from the north to the south.
Autostrade per l’Italia, Eni and CDP plan to develop joint initiatives for the energy transition across their operations. One of the focuses is sustainable mobility, with the specific goal of decarbonizing Italy’s motorway network. Refueling areas will host an increasing number of fully electric charging posts as well as new decarbonized fuels, including biomethane and hydrogen.
