The first Kenworth truck is already in operation, with an additional six scheduled to arrive later this year. Martin Brower, a global logistics expert providing end-to-end solutions for restaurant chains across 18 countries, will be leasing the seven tractors from Paccar Inc., which will be fueled by 100% biomethane from FortisBC.

On October 27, the Hydrotug arrived in the port of Ostend, where the hydrogen system will be further installed and tested by CMB.TECH. Expected to be fully operational in Antwerp by 2023, the tug is part of an integrated greening program for the Port of Antwerp-Bruges fleet and will help the port to be climate-neutral by 2050.
Scania Argentina managed, together with YPF and Copparoni SA, the necessary authorizations so that a CNG-powered truck can operate in the refineries and distribute fuel in YPF service stations. After an extensive process, the Scania G410 6×2 model became the first natural gas vehicle to serve the Hazardous Cargo segment.
The facility, which will be located in the vicinity of the Repsol industrial hub in Cartagena, will involve an investment of around 215 million euros and the generation of 1,100 jobs in the different phases of construction and start-up, planned for 2025. Next year, progress will be made in the detailed engineering and in the administrative processing of the project.

The new facility is located at El Cisne Service Station (part of Grupo Zoilo Ríos), at kilometer 309 of the A-2 motorway, next to Plataforma Logística – Zaragoza (PLAZA), one of the largest logistics centers in Europe. It is a strategic location for the transport of goods through which more than 6,000 heavy vehicles circulate daily.
During the presentation of the VII edition of the Report on the Natural Gas Sector in Peru by Promigas, three challenges to achieve a widespread use of NGVs on a national scale were mentioned: political regulations to switch gasoline-, diesel- and LPG-fueled vehicles to natural gas; reducing logistics costs of transporting natural gas; and expanding the CNG station network.
This fleet, which includes 30 IVECO LNG-fueled vehicles, is the result of an alliance of Nestlé Chile with Grupo San Gabriel and Lipigas. With this initiative, the company seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout its value chain, as part of the commitment to its sustainable development strategy.
With this new facility, located in Waregem, and the other existing stations in Antwerp, Habay and Meer, the partners are working towards a comprehensive Belgian LNG network. “We want to move on to bio-LNG as soon as possible. That will allow heavy-duty vehicles to reduce their carbon emissions by nearly 100%,” according to Rolande.
