Shell is supplying 100 tons of bio-LNG made from agricultural waste to Evonik, which is equivalent to the average fuel consumption of three trucks in a year. With this initiative, Evonik is committed to reduce its own emissions by shipping its products environmentally friendly with biomethane-fueled trucks.
The company supplied LNG to Pasha Hawaii’s new container ship MV George III. This was the first LNG bunkering of a container ship on the U.S. West Coast. MV George III, a 774-foot container ship operating between Long Beach, CA, Honolulu, HI, and Oakland CA is the first of three LNG-fueled ships that Pasha is putting into service.
The Cummins 15-liter hydrogen engines will be integrated in Versatile’s equipment to lead the decarbonization of the agriculture market. Hydrogen combustion engines provide a cost effective zero-carbon fueled solution for high load factor and high utilization applications, enabling a more-timely answer to reduce emissions without sacrificing productivity.
