India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer announced the ecomet STAR 1115 CNG truck in 11.44-ton GVW category. It is powered by 144 HP turbocharged engine which delivers a superior pick up and km-kg performance. With this product, Ashok Leyland strengthened its ICV CNG portfolio in the 11-ton segment.
The first hydrogen fuel cell bus is expected to arrive on the Central Coast later this year before starting a local trial of the technology. The project is a partnership with the Department of Planning and Environment, local bus manufacturer ARCC, Central Coast operator Red Bus, and Origin Energy.
Nuevo Pudahuel, the airport concessionaire, has made the first step to assure Santiago Airport becomes the first in Latin America to incorporate the use of hydrogen. Along with a group of leading energy companies (Air Liquide, Copec and Colbún), it signed an agreement to work on a plan to incorporate this carbon-free fuel into the operations of Chile’s main airport.
According to the Ministry of Energy and Mines, more than 36,000 light gasoline and LPG vehicles have accessed the use of natural gas to date, through the NGV Savings Program, which finances the conversion of their engines to natural gas with resources of the FISE. Its goal is closing this year with 70,000 vehicles converted to CNG.
Through a private investment of 15 million dollars, a modern organic waste processing plant will be installed in Tampico, whose purpose will be to contribute to the recycling and conversion of garbage through state-of-the-art technological processes. Hova Green will be in charge of installing this modern facility.
Scania México wants to work on the environmental impact of the vehicles they market. Its commitment is to use fuels that are eco-friendly while reaching its closest goal: electrification. That is why they presented an LNG-powered tractor in the country, the Scania G410 LNG. Énestas has already acquired the first vehicles with this technology.
The Ministry of Transportation signed a collaboration agreement with the U.S. company Optifuel Systems LLC to develop a pilot project to put into operation low-emission locomotives 100% powered by natural gas, in line with the country’s decarbonization goals.
Transporte CDC expanded its fleet with brand-new Scania trucks, four of which are CNG-powered. The decision was made with the aim of increasing the sustainability and efficiency of daily operation. The company makes trips with refrigerated and parcels trucks on routes to Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay, as well as national traffic routes on the NOA Route and Cuyo.
The production and logistics infrastructure facility, in North Las Vegas, aims to supply the growing needs for hydrogen mobility, but will also allow to provide hydrogen to a wide array of industries while the mobility market continues to mature. It marks a $250 million investment by Air Liquide in the United States hydrogen market.
Aemetis, Inc. and Pacific Gas and Electric Company celebrated a renewable natural gas project milestone at a ribbon cutting ceremony held at the Aemetis Advanced Fuels facility in Keyes, California. The event featured the commissioning of the company’s dairy biomethane cleanup and compression unit and interconnection with PG&E’s gas pipeline for the Aemetis Biogas Central Dairy Digester Project.
