DHL Supply Chain will add 20 biomethane trucks into its Marks & Spencer (M&S) fleet, replacing 20 diesel vehicles. The new Volvo FH LNG tractor units will support both DHL’s GoGreen plan and M&S’ Plan A. The new vehicles follow DHL Supply Chain first delivery of 13 Volvo LNG trucks which arrived in January this year.
The Bizkaibus transport service began the first real circulation and refueling test with a zero-emission bus powered by hydrogen, which will make the usual route on the A3141 line that connects Trapagaran with Cruces. The vehicle is the Urbino 12 Hydrogen model provided by Solaris.
The company presented its new range of trucks, called URBATEK, specially designed for urban applications at TECMA in Madrid. The new vehicles are now available in a range of eco-friendly propulsions ranging from natural gas engines or hybrid systems, to fully electric plug-in units.
Scandinavian Biogas signed an agreement with Alternoil for the delivery of bio-LNG to be included in the climate-neutral fuel REEFUEL distributed on the German transportation market. REEFUEL is a unique fuel that contributes to the decarbonization of heavy goods transport. It is produced from biomethane rendered by certified biological waste processes and green hydrogen generated by wind energy.
The new facility, located in Mestre, is the first public-access service station that allows to refuel hydrogen in an urban area in Italy. The system is equipped with two dispensing points with a capacity of over 100 kg/day, which can refuel vehicles in about 5 minutes and buses too.
PATRIZIA has acquired an 80% majority stake in Italian bio-LNG producer Biomet through its European Infrastructure Fund II. Biomet will own Europe’s largest plant producing bio-LNG. It is currently developing two new facilities that include a biomethane plant and an LNG liquefaction plant. It will be also the first plant in Italy that is directly connected to the SNAM national gas transportation network, with an on-site filling station.
Consip has awarded the framework agreement for the supply of natural gas buses for central/local governments and public transport companies.
