The Mobility and Accessibility Institute (IMA) of Nuevo León awarded the contracting of the leasing service of 400 CNG buses for public transport to FOTON México. The delivery of the vehicles must be in batches of 100 in October and November 2022, and in January and February 2023.
The contract includes 200 buses of 10.4 meters with a capacity for 70 passengers, and 200 buses of 12 meters with a capacity for 90 passengers. All FOTON AUV buses will be equipped with a Cummins Euro V natural gas engine, low entry, air conditioning, wheelchair ramp, reduced mobility area and rack to transport bicycles.
They will also have Wi-Fi, electronic payment, CCTV cameras and a monitor on the driving panel to view the interior of the bus through security cameras, among others, said Fernando Bazaldúa Cortés, President of the IMA Acquisitions Committee.
