Vanzetti Engineering, the Italian company specialized in the design and manufacture of cryogenic pumps for LNG and industrial gases (LIN, LOX, LAR, med-LOX), is expanding its range of centrifugal cryogenic pumps designed to be mounted on heavy trucks with the addition of the new HDM (Hydraulic Direct Motor) series. With this expansion of the range, which complements the already existing HGM (Hydraulic Gearbox Motor) series, Vanzetti has solutions that cover all types of mobile tankers’ loading and unloading requirements.
The task of the centrifugal cryogenic pump on board a tanker is to transfer the LNG from the truck to the tank at the refueling station, making it possible to compensate for the difference in pressure between the tank being filled and the truck’s tank. The HDM pumps, unlike the HGM series, have a direct coupled hydraulic motor, since they do not have a reducer. This feature allows you to reduce costs without sacrificing performance. The new HDM pumps have a particularly robust construction and offer a maximum operating speed of 7,500 RPM (revolutions per minute), with a maximum flow rate of 320 LPM (liters per minute).
This new type of pump, which includes the HDM 185 and HDM 200 models, offer the advantage of light weight and small footprint, making them an ideal solution for:
- The filling and emptying of road trailers;
- Storage and isolated containers (loading and unloading);
- Process operations and support in petrochemical industry applications;
- Special applications with different heights and flows according to customer needs.
