The machinery and vehicles used by the concessionaires to provide the service must be powered by CNG (ECO) engines or by ZERO emission engines, according to the classification of the Spanish General Directorate of Traffic (DGT). In no case will collection or waste transport trucks that are totally propelled by diesel, biodiesel or ethanol engines be admitted.
During the panel session “How will new projects for expansion of gas refueling infrastructure and consumption of gas engine fuel develop under new conditions?” of the GasSuf exhibition, the participants discussed the current situation and development prospects of the NGV market. Foton Monterrey has delivered 10 12-meter natural gas AUV buses to Grupo Lazcano, an urban transport company that provides services in the state of Nuevo León. The new NGVs are the first units of a total of 50 that Foton will deliver before the end of the year and will be used in the transmetro, the BRT system of Metrorrey.
Nikola Corporation and KeyState Natural Gas Synthesis are working together to create Pennsylvania’s first low-carbon hydrogen production value chain. KeyState plans to deliver up to 100 tons per day of low carbon hydrogen, which can supply up to 2,500 Nikola Tre trucks, displacing over 51,000,000 gallons of fossil diesel per annum consumed.

JAX LNG, a small-scale LNG facility near the St. Johns River, recently welcomed NYK LINE’s Sakura Leader for the ship’s inaugural call to Jacksonville. Sakura Leader offloaded cargo at the Jacksonville Port Authority’s Talleyrand Marine Terminal where JAX LNG completed its first ship-to-ship LNG bunkering of the Japanese vessel.

On October 27, the Hydrotug arrived in the port of Ostend, where the hydrogen system will be further installed and tested by CMB.TECH. Expected to be fully operational in Antwerp by 2023, the tug is part of an integrated greening program for the Port of Antwerp-Bruges fleet and will help the port to be climate-neutral by 2050.
