The X15N is the first natural gas engine to be designed specifically for heavy-duty and on-highway truck applications, with 400 to 500 hp and 1,450 to 1,850 lb-ft of torque. Freightliner will offer the new engine in the Cascadia 126″ BBC, in both sleeper and day cab configurations. Production is targeted to begin in 2025.
The facility is operated by BTSG Company Limited, a joint venture between Bangchak Corporation (51%) and Thai Special Gas Company Limited (TSG) (49%). The company aims to develop and provide LNG-related services by capitalizing the strength of Bangchak’s extensive network of over 2,200 service stations nationwide.
In the run-up to Paris 2024, Toyota is announcing the supply of 500 fuel cell Mirai vehicles as part of its official fleet for this major sporting event. The cars will be refuelled with hydrogen from renewable sources provided by Air Liquide, official hydrogen supporter of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024.
Manure produced by the 500 cattle kept at the farm is harvested and upgraded on site, producing fugitive biomethane. This not only fuels machinery, but significantly reduces the carbon footprint. A pioneering facility has been built to provide sustainable fuel which will help cut down up to 1,300 tons of carbon per year.
Knight Transportation has been successfully testing Cummins’ new X15N natural gas engine in Southern California – realizing NOx and greenhouse gas reductions without compromise to performance. The truck is fueled exclusively with Clean Energy Fuels’ ultra-low carbon renewable natural gas, anchored by Clean Energy’s station in Carson.
This significant collaboration marks a pivotal milestone in accelerating the decarbonization of the transportation sector while bolstering the hydrogen mobility market. The partners aim to accelerate the heavy-duty hydrogen transportation ecosystem by focusing on both hydrogen supply and refueling infrastructure.
With a flow rate of up to 546 m3/h, ARTIKA 400 is the latest addition to the range of cryogenic submersible pumps for LNG designed by the Italian multinational firm. Its seamless design, with motor bearings permanently lubricated by LNG, means this type of pump maintains cold conditions for fast and efficient start-stop operations and very low maintenance.
