BWG Foods invested €2 million to expand its low-carbon delivery fleet, through the addition of 10 new biomethane heavy goods vehicles, which will be on the road before the end of the year. The company contributes non-consumable food waste from its distribution operations to produce fuel for its new NGVs at Generation Green’s biogas site.
The company has begun providing renewable natural gas for the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority (CCRRA) in Bellefonte, PA. Switching the station from conventional to renewable natural gas will reduce carbon emissions by 3,696 metric tons each year. The facility will supply bio-CNG to CCRRA vehicles and other fleets, including WM’s trucks.
The new Scania vehicles, with Marcopolo bodywork, are joining the fleet of the Mendoza Transportation Company (STM). During the testing period, they proved to pollute 50% less. This addition is part of the province’s public policies that have to do with sustainable, environmentally friendly transportation, according to the governor Suarez.
Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd. will receive funding from the Government for the development of zero-emissions vehicles. In collaboration with highly skilled UK based technical engineering partners, the project’s aim is to adopt second generation Toyota fuel cell components for the transformation of a Hilux into a fuel cell vehicle.
Hexagon Agility’s TITAN® 53 Mobile Pipelines® will be used to transport and deliver renewable natural gas from multiple sites within the US. Scheduled to be delivered to REV LNG in the third quarter of 2023, these modules enable the capture and collection of biomethane from farms not located near natural gas infrastructure.
The program will encourage the use of natural gas in taxis, transport applications and companies that want to convert their vehicles. The financing amount will be up to R$ 6,000 (about USD1,200), with an interest rate of 1.40% per month for companies and 2.45% for individuals, with a financing term of up to 18 months.
The procurement of FordonsGas’ locations means that 41 biomethane stations will be added to OG Clean Fuels current offering. The agreement includes fixed assets consisting of 36 bio-CNG and five bio-LNG stations. Adding this to its nine already existing locations in Sweden, OG has now secured its position as one of the top 3 market leaders in this country.
New Flyer will deliver 41 vehicles (28 Xcelsior® CNG 40-foot buses and 13 Xcelsior CHARGE NG™ battery-electric 40-foot buses) to the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS). The five-year contract includes options to purchase an additional of up to 432 vehicles (NGVs and EVs). The order is supported by Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds.
The new 16 buses, manufactured by Golden Dragon, will operate in Cali for the special transport sector: schools, businesses, tourism, private events and health services. Their arrival is the result of a collaboration between Gases de Occidente (a Promigas company), Autogroup (representative of Golden Dragon in Colombia) and Transportes Brasilia, which will operate the fleet.
Over the last five years, Coralius has safely and successfully bunkered 109,567 mt of LNG to a vast array of vessels – oil tankers, car carriers, shuttle tankers, dry cargo carriers, cruise ships, expedition vessels, and ferries. Coralius itself is completely powered by LNG, which drastically cuts both SOx and NOx emissions and lowers CO2 emissions.
